How to pay

You can pay rent in the following ways:

Online
You can pay your rent online using PayPoint.

Direct debit
You can set up a direct debit payment to automatically pay your rent from your bank account on the first of each month.

To set up a payment, download a direct debit form or call us on 01284 767224 for a form.

Once we have received the form, it takes three weeks to set up this type of payment.

Through our office
You can pay by cash, cheque, postal order or credit/debit card, by phoning us on 01284 767224 or visiting our office. View the contacts page for opening hours.

Post Office
You can pay by bank Giro credit with cash or cheque at any post office in the UK. The Post Office may charge you for this service.

Standing order
You can pay by standing order from many bank accounts. You can set up a standing order online if you have internet banking or by visiting your bank. You will need our bank details below to set this up.

Bank Giro Credit
You can pay by cheque or cash at any bank. You may have to pay a fee unless you are a bank customer or you pay at Barclays. To ask us for a bank giro paying in book, call 01284 767224 or email us with your name and the first line of your address. Put 'paying in book' as the subject of your email.

Debit/Credit Card/Switch
You can pay from your bank account by debit/Switch card, or by credit card including Electron and Solo. Simply phone our office on 01284 767224 and we will process your payment.

By post
You can post cheques/postal orders (please do not send cash) to our offices. Please make them payable to Suffolk Housing Society and send them to the office address – don’t forget to put your address on the back of the cheque or postal order.

Collection
In exceptional circumstances (for example, if you’re house-bound), we will visit your home to collect your rent. Simply phone our office on 01284 767224 to make arrangements.
