Sheltered Housing

We have two types of sheltered housing schemes:

  • Category one - homes linked to an alarm system for tenants over the age of 55
  • Category two - homes with some communal facilities and on site staff for tenants over the age of 60.

Our schemes offer independent living, we do not provide nursing or residential care.

We have sheltered housing schemes in Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Mildenhall and Thurston. These schemes have on site scheme co-ordinators during working hours and an out-of-hours alarm system monitored by Invicta Telecare, our out-of-hours service, during the evenings, weekends and holidays.

We also have two smaller schemes in Eye and Sudbury that are managed on our behalf by the local council.

The schemes consist of one bedroom flats, each with a separate kitchen, lounge and bathroom. All schemes have a communal lounge with various social activities taking place during the week. Most also have communal laundry facilities, an accessible bathroom/shower room and communal gardens.

To find out more about the individual schemes, view our sheltered housing information sheets.
