Rented housing

Affordable rented homes are those provided by housing associations and local authorities. How you go about finding one will depend on where you live in the region. This applies to sheltered housing and general needs housing.

There are two main schemes used to allocate homes: Common Housing Registers and Choice Based Lettings.

Here you can see who you need to contact depending on where you live.

Please note, many of the villages where we have homes have a planning agreement in place which restricts who can live in those homes. To be eligible you would need to have a local connection to the village (for example have family there or work there).
