Donation to help Mildenhall bloom

Suffolk Housing Society has donated £185 to pay for shrubs to make Mildenhall more beautiful.

The Bury St Edmunds based charity's donation will pay for 40 shrubs, which will be planted near to St Mary's Close, a 42-flat warden controlled residence for older people run by Suffolk Housing Society.

It is all part of a longer term project to improve the town, particularly the riverside area. It should also help to further boost Mildenhall in Bloom.

In the first of two phases, Mildenhall Boy Scouts planted 23 of the 40 shrubs on Saturday 6 May between 9.30am and 12.30pm.
