About us

We exist to help the wide variety of people who need affordable housing in East Anglia.

If you are interested in our work, why not use your skills to help us and join our board or get involved in other ways?

As a non-profit making housing association, our main role is to provide and manage subsidised rented homes to those on low or modest incomes. This includes:

  • General needs homes for individuals, couples and families
  • Supported housing, including homes for older people and other vulnerable individuals.

We also provide homes for rent and shared ownership to help other people like first-time buyers and key public sector workers. You can find out more about our latest schemes in our development section.

Our other activities include:

  • Managing more than 100 homes on behalf of people who own the leasehold of their property
  • Providing property management services and acting as a commercial landlord through our wholly owned subsidiary company, Linnet Property Management.

Suffolk Housing Society is registered as an Industrial and Provident Society with charitable status. We are also registered with the Tenant Services Authority, which regulates housing associations.
